DCC was founded in 1976 by Jim Flavin, Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman, and are listed on the Irish and London stock exchanges. DCC currently employs more than 3800 people. They have achieved compound annual growth in adjusted earnings per share of 17.3% over the last ten years.

Flogas - A reputable company

Patrick Kilmartin, the Chief Executive of Flogas UK Ltd joined the company in 1988 from Esso, where he was Marketing Manager. He has become the longest serving MD in the industry, a trend that can be applied to the Flogas senior management team as a whole.

Flogas have an acknowledged reputation within the industry - until recently, beyond its size—with Paddy serving a record third term as Chairman of the LP Gas Association. He has also recently served a term as President of the European LPG association (AEGPL), at which he currently represents the UK.

On 10 December 2001 DCC acquired Alta Gas, a move that doubled the size of the Flogas cylinder business. The growth prevailed with another major acquisition, that of British Gas LPGas from Centrica on 01 December 2002.

This move establishes Flogas as the second largest LPG Company in the UK and the company with momentum, energy and focus. This status befits the longstanding respect inherent in our people and our brand. We now have a truly national supply network.

Our Retail Conference saw the launch of the Flogas Appliance Project. We have the objective of providing a 'one-stop shop' and a high-level added value offering to our customer base. A comprehensive range of products is available via our Appliance Catalogue, available from the Appliance department at our Syston Head Office.

Our Appliance Catalogue is a comprehensive range of product lines including patio heaters, barbecues, fires, cookers, industrial products and the basic lines such as regulators, hose and fittings. It is available now, as are individual segment brochures for patio heaters, barbecues and camping equipment. Promotional leaflets and merchandise are also available.

Bulk & Cylinder Supply

As well as our comprehensive range of cylinders, LPG from Flogas is also available in a special storage tank, which can be automatically topped up by Flogas tankers. Every business and property has different needs, however we can establish your needs and match them to a solution. Storage tanks can be installed quickly and easily with minimum fuss. Alternatively our storage tanks can be buried underground, completely hidden from view, with only a small inspection hatch visible.
