With a number of challenges presented to the business during the extreme weather conditions in winter 2010/2011, Flogas took the opportunity to conduct a thorough review, strengthening our existing delivery processes whilst enhancing our service across the network.
As part of the review, we tested our current bulk delivery processes and implemented a number of recommendations to improve planning schedules and predict future customer demand. We have increased the number of delivery vehicles and retrained our drivers to handle both cylinder trucks and tankers to widen the availability of drivers to deliver to customers. During peak periods, extended office hours and evening/ weekend deliveries are implemented to maintain maximum efficiency. In addition to this, a new telemetry system is being rolled out to customers to further improve our methods in predicting gas consumption and scheduling deliveries accordingly.
With weather conditions being much milder during winter 2011/2012, there was little disruption caused by adverse snowfall and for the most part it was business as usual. Nonetheless, the service improvements are a further demonstration of our strategy to continually improve our customer service offering, keeping your priorities at the heart of our business activities.
