EML joins the DCC Energy group
Flogas Britain, part of FTSE-100 listed DCC plc, is delighted to announce the acquisition of the Energy Management division of eEnergy Group plc (“EML”), following subject to shareholder approval.
EML is a UK-based Energy Management Services group working with industrial, commercial, and public sector clients with high energy consumption, providing services including energy procurement, market analysis, risk management, and bureau services such as bill validation as well as Net Zero pathway consulting. Furthermore, EML has developed a market leading suite of technology including the eAuction platform, Unified Platform, and the MY ZeERO solution that empowers clients to identify and eliminate energy waste and reduce their carbon emissions.
EML and its highly experienced team will join the DCC Energy group. They will work alongside the existing UK and Ireland businesses to create a unique and compelling energy management proposition including renewable technologies for our customers across all sectors with high energy consumption or large multi-site portfolios. EML is headquartered in Coventry and employs over 70 colleagues.
As we embark on a once-in-a-generation energy transition, this strategic acquisition aligns with our primary purpose to provide energy solutions that give customers cleaner energy in their power. We are committed to helping our customers meet their energy objectives in terms of cost, carbon reduction, and energy security. The addition of EML, and its industry-leading approach to energy management, will help the wider DCC Energy group support its customers in realising the potential of their energy ambitions.
“We are delighted to welcome EML to the DCC Group working alongside Flogas and the wider DCC Energy family. Together with Certas and our recent acquisitions of Protech, Centreco and DTGen, the addition of EML creates a significant capability in energy management services for our customers. We have set an ambition to halve the carbon emissions from the energy that we supply by 2030 and to support our customers through energy transition. This acquisition is a significant step forward.” – Ivan Trevor, Managing Director, Flogas Britain.
“We are thrilled to be joining the DCC family and this acquisition represents a fantastic opportunity to grow our energy management and Net Zero services to further help our clients as they transition towards Net Zero. We have been driving the industry forward, making it simpler and more transparent for clients, and with the backing of DCC plc and the Flogas team, we will be at the forefront of the energy industry to help UK businesses reduce their carbon emissions and transition to Net Zero.” – Delvin Lane, Managing Director, Energy Management Limited.
