Flogas climbs six places in top Leicestershire business ranking

We’re very pleased to announce that Flogas has once again been named as a leading Leicestershire business in Business Live’s 2021 East Midlands Top 500 companies– climbing six places to number 55.

Compiled for Business Live by the business team at De Montfort University, the list brings together East Midland’s biggest businesses by operating revenue. Flogas has climbed from position 61 in 2020 to join some of the UK’s best-known brands including Goldsmiths jewellers and Poundstretcher, alongside Leicester City Football Club, law firm Browne Jacobson, Center Parcs and East Midlands Airport.

The Top 500 companies are supporting tens of thousands of jobs and pump billions of pounds into the East Midlands regional and national economies and have played a vital role in getting the country back up and running as the Covid-19 lockdown eases.

Lee Gannon, Flogas Britain’s Managing Director, comments: : “The news that we have climbed the rankings in 2021 is testament to the dedication and hard work from our employees in the past 12 months, from our drivers, technicians, depot and head office staff. The past year has been a hugely challenging one, but successful due to the efforts from all colleagues in delivering another year of incredible growth. Additionally this performance means that we are currently hiring across many areas of our business on a national basis, drivers, technicians, sales, depot support staff to support our continuing ambitious growth targets for this coming year and beyond.”

Lee continues:“There’s been many exciting developments at Flogas during the past 12 months. The launch of our first sustainability report, which outlines our commitment to becoming a more sustainable business. Our focus is on enabling off-grid communities to decarbonise as the UK heads towards the Net Zero ambitions set out by the Committee on Climate Change, through alternative fuels such as BioLPG.”

As we announced last year, we are developing our new Avonmouth storage facility, which has capacity to hold 34,564 tonnes of LPG – making it the largest of its kind in the UK. Once its fully operational in Q3 next year, it will provide an unparalleled, dependable supply capability for our customers.

With several large projects on the horizon, the next year will be just as exciting for Flogas as the last one!!
