Global Energy Market Update

Updated 05/03/2026

As you may have seen, events in the Middle East are causing uncertainty and are having an impact on the global energy markets.

Our teams are monitoring developments closely, including supply availability and market prices, which have changed in recent weeks and have moved more quickly in the last few days. Our focus remains on keeping our reliable service and maintaining supply for our customers.

If you are a top-up bulk or cylinder customer, we will continue to monitor your tank as normal. If you are an on-call bulk or cylinder customer (who orders gas as and when they need it), then please let us know as soon as possible when you think you will order so we can plan deliveries in advance.

We are happy to hear from any customer, or anyone considering switching to Flogas who has concerns or questions about their supply.  We are currently experiencing a high number of calls due to the global situation, thank you for your patience while we work hard to ensure customers are able to speak to a member of the Flogas team promptly.

As things develop globally, it is difficult for any supplier to predict how things may change over time. However, our teams will continue to monitor the situation closely and we will keep this page updated and continue to share information with you if anything changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

+

Is my gas supply affected?

At the moment, deliveries from Flogas Britain are continuing as normal, and there is currently no disruption to supply. However, we ask on-call customers to let us know about upcoming orders as soon as possible so we can plan deliveries. If this changes then we will update you

+

Why are global events being mentioned if Flogas operates in the UK?

Although we only supply customers across Britain, the energy we purchase is affected by global energy markets. Events in the Middle East and around key shipping routes do affect global energy supply and prices even if UK deliveries remain stable.

+

Are gas prices going up?

We are reviewing market prices daily. We take steps to reduce the impact of sudden changes in gas prices, but when there is a big disruption in the markets, we may need to make pricing adjustments. We will communicate with you and explain the reasons if this is the case.

+

Should I order extra gas or bring my delivery forward?

At present, there is no need to change your usual ordering habits. If your tank is running low or you think you will need to order soon, let us know as soon as possible so we can plan deliveries accordingly.

+

How often will Flogas update customers?

We will update this page whenever there is new information. If any change directly affects your account, we will communicate clearly on the Flogas website.

+

Are you expecting supply problems in the future?

At present, there is no indication of supply problems. We have been investing in storage and supply facilities over several years to help maintain a reliable supply. However it is clear there is disruption in the Middle East which if prolonged will likely have wider impact. Our teams monitor the situation daily, and if anything were to change, we will inform customers promptly.

+

Why can’t you forecast long-term conditions right now?

Global events can shift quickly, which makes our ability to predict what may happen over the coming months harder. Rather than speculate, we focus on real, reliable market data and communicate only what we know to be accurate.

+

Should I be worried about running out of gas?

At present, there is no indication of disruption to customer deliveries, and Flogas Britain continues to supply customers as normal.

If you are a bulk customer on Auto-ordering, we will continue to monitor your tank as normal.

If you are a Manual order (or on-call) bulk or cylinder customer (who orders gas as and when they need it), then please let us know as soon as possible when you think you will order so we can plan deliveries in advance.

Our teams continue to monitor global developments closely and we will update customers if anything changes.
