Why are some metered supply estimates inaccurate?
Put simply, every customer has different family circumstances and working patterns. Some may be retired or have young children and require more heating throughout the day whereas others will have lower consumption requirements if they are away from the property at work.
Once we have a minimum of 12 months fuel consumption the estimating process becomes easier but sudden changes in family circumstances or weather patterns also play a part in hampering our calculation.
We strongly recommend you provide us with an actual meter reading every 8-10 weeks which will ensure we do not send estimated bills which are triggered where no read is applied in a 3 month period
