Question

Can I get a discount on my energy bills?

Warm Home Discount Scheme

You may still qualify for the Warm Home Discount if you use LPG to heat your home. The discount provides help with electricity costs, so it won’t be applied to your Flogas LPG bill.

The route that applies depends on who bills you for electricity.

If an electricity supplier bills you directly

You may qualify for a £150 discount on your electricity bill through the main Warm Home Discount scheme.

In England and Wales, most eligible households will receive the discount automatically. Eligibility is based on your circumstances and electricity account on the scheme’s qualifying date.

Scotland has different rules, and some customers may need to apply through their electricity supplier.

If you pay your residential park owner for electricity

You won’t normally qualify automatically through the main scheme because you don’t have your own electricity-supplier account.

Instead, you may be able to apply for the separate Park Homes Warm Home Discount through Charis Grants. This is for permanent park-home residents who pay their site owner for electricity and meet the scheme’s benefit, income or fuel-poverty criteria.

Funding is limited and applications are considered in the order they’re received, so check whether applications are open and apply promptly.

Flogas doesn’t administer either scheme and can’t confirm whether you’re eligible. Scheme rules and application dates can change, so always check the latest information before applying.
