Market volatility charge
When you buy gas from us in a cylinder, an automatic ‘market volatility charge’ will be added to your basket. This is applied once per cylinder and the charge may move up or down over time due to ongoing changes in the global energy market.
Cylinder charges explained
A cylinder charge applies if you order gas without returning an eligible empty cylinder. The cylinder remains the property of Flogas, and the charge is separate from the price of the gas.
To avoid the cylinder charge, the cylinder you return must be from a brand we accept and belong to the same exchange category as the cylinder you are ordering. Returning any Flogas cylinder does not automatically qualify.
Which cylinders can be exchanged?
Small Cylinder category
- Propane: 11kg, 6kg, 4.7kg and 3.9kg
- Butane: 13kg, 7kg and 4.5kg
Leisure Gas category
- 11kg and 6kg Leisure Gas
Gaslight category
- 10kg and 5kg Gaslight
Large Cylinder category
- 47kg Propane
- 19kg Propane
- 18kg FLT
- 11kg FLT
Large cylinders can only be exchanged for the same cylinder type and size.
For example, when ordering an 11kg Leisure Gas cylinder, you can return a 6kg or 11kg Leisure Gas cylinder from an accepted brand. A cylinder from the Small Cylinder, Gaslight or Large Cylinder categories will not count.
If your returned cylinder is not eligible, the cylinder charge will be added to your order.
Cylinder charges explained
When you buy gas from us in a cylinder, you’ll be asked to pay a ‘cylinder charge’ for each cylinder. This is because it will remain our property and it is being provided to you only for the purposes of using the gas supplied. When the cylinder is empty, you can simply exchange it for a pre-filled cylinder or return the empty cylinder to us.
You can return your gas cylinder for any cylinder within the same category:
Small cylinder category:
Propane: 11kg, 6kg, 4.7kg, 3,9kg
Butane: 13kg, 7kg, 4.5kg
Leisure Gas category:
11kg and 6kg
Gaslight category:
10kg and 5kg
Large cylinder category:
47kg, 19kg, 18kg FLT, 11kg FLT
Large cylinders are like for like only.

Small cylinder category and Leisure Gas category: £47.50
Gaslight category: £55
Description
The Campingaz 904 gas bottle is the mid-size in the range and holds 1.81kg of butane gas. It is ideal for small cookers, stoves, mini BBQ's and burners. This bottle is widely available throughout Europe and can be exchanged when empty.
Intended for regular use or for an extended operating time, this cylinder is equipped with a safety valve and can be unscrewed from the appliance when not empty.

Do’s & Don’ts
- Don’t store or use bottles horizontally. Leaks can be very serious.
- Don’t change or store bottles in the presence of naked flames.
- Don’t use tools to operate bottle valves.
- Do check hoses regularly for damage and ensure they’re properly secured with hose clips. Replace damaged hoses immediately.
